We're excited to present 10 bold artists delivering 10 performing arts projects that have been selected as part of the Bowery Theatre’s move to online programming.

These projects were commissioned to support local Brimbank artists and local communities to engage in online performances and workshops.

The projects will be rolled out for audiences on the on our website and social media platforms over the next five months (May – September 2020).

Artists reflect the diversity of Brimbank through cultural diversity, age, and with artists identifying as LGBTQIA+ being selected. There’s everything from a comedic web series on millennials living in ‘iso’, fashion runways, classical music concerts for families, to vogue dance performances, there’ll be something for everyone!

The Quick Response Commissions have been developed to support performing artists through the challenging times arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic. They are a considered response for independent professional practicing artists to support their creative endeavour and enable them, in partnership with Council, to reach audiences in new ways.
